Books on Sales
Never Cold Call again (Frank J. Rumbauskas Jr.)
Cold calling is “interruptive” marketing. Who wants to be interrupted in the middle of something by some telemarketer? Talk about a grand way to dissuade a potential prospect before you even say the first word! It is no wonder the sales people has such bad reputation! It is about taking the confrontation and manipulative “sales techniques” out of selling.
Never Cold Call again shows you how to use current lead automation processes to get leads coming in to you proactively while demonstrating the very best ways of turning prospects into buyers.
Selling Sucks is another book from Frank J. Rumbauskas Jr. that can complement Never Cold Call again but it is mostly the same wine in a different bottle.
Advanced Selling Strategies (Brian Tracy)
This is a well written book of 429 pages. The entire sales process is covert: psychology of selling, development of personal power, personal strategic planning, the heart of the sale, the profession of selling, motivating people to buy, influencing the buying decision, prospecting: filling your sales pipeline, how to make powerful presentations.
The secrets of selling (Geoff King)
The Secrets of Selling is divided into three sections. The first deals with sales meetings and sales proposals and the second shows you the most effective methods for winning new work, not just from existing clients, but from new ones too. The third section gives you all the secret weapons you need to become a good salesperson, from negotiating the contract, to managing your contacts to measuring your sales performance. Overall an okay book that is easy to read.
